Screens

We'll cover the requirements and best practices for creating static and animated screens for streaming platforms.

Static Screens

  • Accepted Formats: Both PNG and JPEG formats are acceptable.
  • Transparency Note: For screens requiring transparent sections, such as intermission screens with gameplay or webcam sections, PNG is the necessary format.
  • Variety: Consider offering a range of layouts and variations to cater to diverse streamer preferences.
  • Customization: It's beneficial to include "blank" versions without pre-set text. This gives customers the flexibility to introduce their text or graphics.

Animated Screens

  • Accepted Formats: Both MP4 and WEBM formats are supported.
  • Optimization: Prioritize keeping the file size minimal to ensure rapid loading times in streaming software. This minimizes delays or potential stream disruptions.
  • Transparency Note: For screens with transparent components, such as intermission screens showcasing gameplay or a webcam section, the WEBM format is crucial.
  • Customization: Similar to static screens, offering "blank" versions of animated screens can be valuable. It lets users input their unique text or design elements.
  • Modular Assets: Providing "modular" components can enhance user experience significantly. These can include:
    • Starting screen countdown timers.
    • Additional bars or segments.
    • Optional graphical elements.
    • Allowing streamers to construct their customized screen setup offers them flexibility. They can choose to include or exclude certain features as per their preferences.
